■Project Overview
The Ironmaking Plant of Shiheng Special Steel Group Co., Ltd. utilizes the high-temperature hot water generated by the heat exchange in the hot water cooler of the flue gas after denitrification from the No. 3 Ironmaking 230m² sintering machine as a heat source, and applies an ORC low-temperature waste heat power generation unit for power generation. The flue gas after denitrification from the No. 3 Ironmaking sintering machine is cooled by the cooler, with the temperature dropping from 190°C to 150°C before entering the desulfurization system. The heat exchange of the flue gas will produce 400m³/h of high-temperature hot water with an inlet/outlet temperature of 105°C/135°C. This hot water will serve as a heat source to heat the organic working fluid in the ORC system and release heat. The organic working fluid will drive the turbine to drive the generator to do work. The hot water, after releasing heat and cooling down, will still return to the sintering machine cooler heat exchange system for recycling.
■Project Achievements
The project saves 2,847 tons of standard coal annually, reduces CO₂ emissions by 7,000 tons annually, and has a net annual power generation of 8.9 million kW·h. The investment in this project will be recovered within three years, demonstrating excellent energy-saving effects and economic viability.
