Recently, the People's Government of Henan Province issued the "Decision on the 2021 Henan Provincial Science and Technology Award" (Yuzheng [2022] No. 10), announcing the list of winners of the 2021 Henan Science and Technology Progress Award, and the project "Key Technology and Equipment of Low Temperature Waste Heat Efficient Recovery Duplex Mass Power Generation System" jointly declared by North China University of Water Resources and Hydropower, CITIC Heavy Industry Machinery Co., Ltd., and Beijing Huahang Shengshi Energy Technology Co., Ltd. won the second prize of the 2021 Henan Science and Technology Progress Award.
Low-temperature waste heat efficient recovery dual-working condition power generation system is an important key equipment for low-temperature waste heat recovery and utilization in high-energy-consuming industries, with high process safety requirements, huge waste of low-temperature waste heat in traditional processes, high energy-saving potential, and difficulty in technology research and development, so the state has formulated a major independent research and development special plan. The project focuses on the bottlenecks of key technologies of low-temperature waste heat organic Rankine cycle power generation, and in accordance with the idea of "theoretical method innovation-process system reconstruction-key equipment development-engineering verification and promotion", the project has continuously carried out industry-university-research cooperation with Hebei University of Water Conservancy and Electric Power and CITIC Heavy Industry on key research projects.

The innovative achievement has been promoted and applied to low-temperature waste heat power generation projects in many high-energy-consuming industries (steel, petrochemical, textile, salt industry and smelting) in various modes such as contract energy management, EPC general contracting, and provision of core solutions and equipment, with a cumulative installed capacity of more than 40MW in the past three years, with good use effects and performance reaching the international advanced level. At the same time, significant and important economic and social benefits have been achieved, which has effectively promoted the deep energy conservation and emission reduction of industry, and the ecological and environmental benefits are remarkable, with a cumulative CO2 emission reduction of 970,000 tons and a dust emission reduction of 290,000 tons in three years, equivalent to afforestation of 2.5 million trees, and a total of 5.597 billion yuan of indirect economic benefits of direct economy, carbon capture and dust control. The project results can also be extended to the use of new energy such as solar, geothermal, and ocean, with huge application prospects and industrial scale.
At present, China Airlines Shengshi centripetal turbine ORC low-temperature waste heat power generation equipment is in the leading domestic market share, a series of "stuck neck" technical problems have been overcome one after another, and a number of first sets of process applications have been successfully started and connected to the grid.
