The Shaanxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission recently released a public notice regarding the proposed applications for the sixth batch of first-set major technical equipment in the energy sector. The "Geothermal Power-Heat-Helium" Co-production System, jointly developed by Sinopec Green Source Geothermal Energy (Shaanxi) Development Co., Ltd., Xi'an Jiaotong University, and Beijing Huahang Shengshi Energy Technology Co., Ltd., based on the deep-seated geothermal resources of the Weihe Basin, is included in this list.
The project was invested in and constructed by Sinopec Green Source Geothermal Energy (Shaanxi) Development Co., Ltd. It adopts the Centripetal ORC Low-Temperature Waste Heat Power Generation Technology developed by Beijing Huahang Shengshi Energy Technology Co., Ltd., utilizing hot water from the production-injection well group at the Baoshi Jiayuan geothermal heating site in Xianyang for power generation.
After generating electricity, the hot water is returned to the heating network for heating purposes, achieving high-efficiency cascaded utilization of the precious geothermal resources. The project has a designed installed capacity of 300 kW and an estimated annual net power generation of 700,000 kWh. The success of this project marks a solid step forward in actively exploring "Heat-Power-Helium" tri-generation technology and contributes to promoting the deep-level comprehensive utilization of geothermal resources.
