On July 14, the 12th World Chemical Engineering Conference and the 21st Asia-Pacific Chemical Union Conference opened in Beijing. This is the first time that the World Chemical Engineering Congress and the Asia-Pacific Chemical Union Conference have been jointly held in China, authorized by the World Chemical Engineering Federation and the Asia-Pacific Chemical Union, guided by the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, hosted by the Chinese Chemical Engineering Society, undertaken by PetroChina, Sinopec and Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and jointly organized by CNOOC and National Energy Group. Beijing China Airlines Shengshi Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was invited to participate and give a special report.
With the theme of "Chemical Engineering Paradigm Change to Meet Global Challenges", the conference will release the "Beijing Initiative: Embracing Paradigm Change and Intelligent Green Future". Nearly 5,000 delegates from 66 countries and regions on 6 continents attended the conference.
